COVID-19 IN NIGERIA: WE SAY NO TO CHINA INTERVENTION

Can the world ever trust China again? Would Nigeria romance with the prime suspect of the current global crisis (COVID-19)? How can we? In 2012 China handed over a fully funded and built headquarters building in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia to the African Union (AU). A great gesture of friendship and solidarity, perhaps. But not long after, it was alleged to have been bugged, leaking vital, confidential information of the Union to China in faraway Shanghai! True or false, the Union had to change its computer servers to check the alleged mischief. But issues of health are different. Misfiring means losing a life, or even lives. On a national scale, that can amount to thousands. Painful loss. Avoidable loss. The authorities must tread with caution here. Face masks, test kits, ventilators, vaccine and doctors - all from or of China. Hmmmm, caution we must exercise. Until now we have been using our indigenous doctors, and they have been doing well. WHY CHANGE THE WINNING TEAM? Please let us DISCARD this idea of Chinese intervention. WE DON'T NEED IT. Let us stay safe Stay indigenous. Stay Nigerian We shall overcome

Nollywood actor Bob Manuel dives into politics

Nollywood actor and senior special adviser on Nollywood and Entertainment affairs to the Anambra State Governor, Bob Manuel Udokwu have announced his political ambition for 2015.
He revealed at a press conference on September 3, 2014 that he will be going for a seat at the Anambra State House of Assembly in 2015.
“I have formally declared interest to vie for a political position in the 2015 general elections into Anambra State House of Assembly to represent Idemili North Constituency.
This move is to help develop and transform the state in line with the vision of the present constituency to beat in the state. I ask for your prayers and support to enable me achieve this humble ambition to serve my people at the state level. Feel free to get in touch with me on how you can help. God bless you as you show massive support and love” he said

The actor has joined the likes of Desmond Elliot, Dan Da Humorous, Julius Agwu, Kate Henshaw and 9ice to announce their political ambitions come 2015. Guess the next administration for 2015 will be entertaining also.
