To say that 2014 has been a challenging and emotionally exhausting
year would be an understatement. From kidnappings to outbreaks of deadly
diseases; airline and ferry tragedies to missile strikes – it’s no
secret that we live in very uncertain times.
Add into the mix personal challenges we face with our health, relationships, and careers and it’s easy for a person to question at times whether there is hope.
It is important for us to remember – and to remind each other – that even in the most tragic of times and in times of incredible pain and discomfort, there is always moments to shine.

As we navigate our way through tragedy, grief and pain, it’s important to remember that there is also beauty, creativity and opportunity - you might just have to look very hard for it... so here are a few I put together.
1. On a 40-degree day in Australia, cyclists stopped to save this koala from thirst.

3. When a motorcyclist violently smashed into a car, onlookers braved the flames to pull out the unconscious man from the wreckage. Because of their heroic deed, the injured man was taken to the emergency room in time and survived the accident.

Each of us can make someone's day, it is as simple as sharing a joke - or saying an authentic thank you. With that in mind, we created the following video.
