Your daily relationship matters. Every new day is a gift from God to us. In it lie lots of opportunities to be managed by us. You are responsible for how you manage yours. Managing yourself and the opportunities of the day are inevitable part of life. We can't escape them. That is so because we are alive. You must live. You must make the best of the day. How do we do this?
First, begin
with God. Rejoice in seeing another day, another of God's good gift to you. Do not open the day with complaints and murmuring. Rejoice in God's faithfulness to you.
Then commit yourself, your house, and the day to God. You have not passed through this day before. You do not know what lies ahead. That lies in the realm of the divine. Only God knows what is going to happen next. So it is only wisdom to depend on Him.
Third, make your plans. Do not enter a day and live through it by whatever it presents you. By the wisdom of God be in control of your day. Set targets, however small or big and pursue them. Remember, you are doing this in the strength of God whom you have earlier met with during the day. This is the difference between you and the person who wakes and goes about their business without consulting God.
Avoid procrastination. Control intrusions. You are in charge of your day, not another.
Seek out opportunities to do good and impact lives positively. More than we know, there are many out there who have lost their compass in life. They need guidance, help and comfort. You could be that agent of positve turn around in their lives.
Finally, as you started the day with God, end it with Him. Be grateful for living through it, thanking God for the successes, trials and even failures of the day. Learn from them all and grow. Peace be with you.
